Tanya Frias, Head of Wealth
Tanya Frias serves as head of wealth at WealthMore. Ms. Frias brings more than 20 years of experience to WealthMore having served as an institutional wealth manager and a personal finance wealth advisor during her career.
She moderates WealthMore’s communities – #collegeplanning and #womenwhowealth.
In her new role, Tanya Frias oversees the financial planning and wealth management team at WealthMore. She leads the financial planning initiatives providing clients expert advice to help clients build wealth, as well as manage a diverse team of certified financial planners.
Previously, Tanya Frias embarked on an entrepreneurial journey co-founding Freeman Capital, a premier financial planning firm providing smart, personalized financial planning services to help everyday people, especially African Americans, meet their financial goals.
Her extensive institutional wealth management and personal finance experiences include senior positions at MassMutual, Wells Fargo Advisors, JP Morgan Chase. Tanya Frias' financial planning journey began by accident when she accepted an entry level 9 to 5 job at Prudential Financial while she was pursuing her undergraduate studies. In this position, she worked closely with stock brokers and she learned all aspects of the business by working from the ground up.
When she is not helping clients meet their financial goals, Ms. Frias mentors under-resourced middle school girls at the Cornelia Connelly Center, helping them reach their full potential from middle school to college and beyond. She leads financial literacy sessions to help young girls acquire the important money management skills at a young age.
Tanya Frias holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Services from City University of New York City - John Jay College and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
She holds a Certified Financial Planner (CFP ®) certification from New York University, as well as a Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC ®) certification from The American College. Ms. Frias is fluent in Spanish.
Tanya lives in New York City with her son. She is an avid biker and she enjoys listening to economics and true crimes podcasts.
